    Freshman Rinna Talwar to be Featured on CNN

    Rarely does one think about a freshman in high school when hearing about an entrepreneur running a nonprofit business.  But that is exactly what Rinna Talwar (Roselle), freshman at St. Francis High School (Wheaton), is doing.  Together with her cousin Sonika Menon, sophomore at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, Rinna co-founded The Birthday Giving Program, a charitable organization which serves children, mentally and physically challenged adults, and senior citizens who might not have the opportunity or resources to celebrate their birthdays.  Rinna is the founder of the Senior Citizen Division.

    Four St. Francis High School students recently competed and qualified for the Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA) District IX Honors Choir and Honors Band.  
  • Chloe R. Earns Third National Solo Ice Dance Championship

    Junior Chloe R. is the 2018 U.S. Figure Skating Association USFSA National Gold Pattern Dance Champion.  This is the fourth consecutive year for which she qualified, competed and medaled in the championships.

  • Senior Achieves Perfect ACT Score

    Nicholas Buranicz, son of John & Hanna Buranicz and a senior at St. Francis High School, earned the highest possible ACT composite score of 36. On average, only around one-tenth of one percent of students who take the ACT earn a top score. In the U.S. high school graduating class of 2017, only 2,760 out of more than 2 million graduates who took the ACT earned a composite score of 36.
  • 2018 Distinguished Alumni Named

    On Sunday, September 30, the Alumni Association will award two 2018 Distinguished Alumni.  The award recipients are outstanding alumni who have maintained high standards of excellence.  They were nominated by their peers and are graduates who have taken their St. Francis High School education and Christian values on paths to make significant contributions in their fields of endeavor and/or have achieved outstanding accomplishments, honors or recognition on behalf of their communities and country.

  • Business Club Completes CapsimCore™ Simulation

    Recently, more than 30 junior and senior students in the Business Club, completed a business simulation competition led by the Business Department - Jeff Gerdeman ‘87, Mike Lynch ’77 and Joe Duffy - and Capsim, a company which offers experiential learning solutions to measure and develop the key skills needed to succeed in today’s business landscape.

    The St. Francis High School cheerleading teams begin the new school year with an invitation to participate in an exclusive event with the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) and a bid to compete in NCA’s Senior High School National Championship in Dallas.  Both opportunities present some exciting possibilities for the teams to work toward this year.

    The St. Francis High School community congratulates teacher and alum Jeff Gerdeman ’87 for recently winning the inaugural CapsimCoreTeacher Invitational Challenge.  This national challenge engaged 102 high-school level business educators as they competed in the CapsimCoreentry-level business simulation.
