Explore the St. Francis High School Path

The best way to experience St. Francis High School is to visit the campus and meet some of the people who make it extraordinary.  The Admissions staff at St. Francis High School offers a number of events throughout the year to provide you and your child with the opportunity to see for yourself if our school is the right fit.  We encourage anyone considering St. Francis High School to join us at any of our Admissions events.  Some of these events have a limited capacity, so we encourage you to sign up early.

  • Shadow Day

    Shadowing gives you the opportunity to experience the St. Francis High School community and life as a Spartan. Walk our campus, hear us pray together, visit classes, have lunch, and leave with a better understanding of the Franciscan spirit and enthusiasm at SFHS. Our goal is for you to see the advantage of a St. Francis High School education. We look forward to you spending the day with us!

    8th Grade/Transfer Shadow Day

    Your Visit
    • Please arrive at 7:30 a.m. at Door #4 (Main Office).
    • An Enrollment Office member will be present to greet you and your Ambassador will pick you up after checking in.
    • All prospective students will attend eight class periods and a lunch period.
    • Please bring a book to read in class in the event of a test or quiz.
    • The Shadow Day is over at 2:35 p.m., and students will be escorted back to Door #4 (Main Office) for pick-up.

    7th Grade Shadow Day

    Your Visit
    • Please arrive between 7:20-7:30 a.m. at Door #19 (Spyglass Athletic Center).
    • An Enrollment Office member will be present to greet you and your Ambassador will pick you up after checking in.
    • All prospective students will attend classes with a current student and enjoy lunch with other Future Spartans.
    • Please bring a book to read in class in the event of a test or quiz.
    • The Shadow Day is over at 2:45 p.m., and students will be escorted back to Door #19 (Spyglass) for pick-up.
    Dress Code
    Casual is the general rule for St. Francis High School dress standards. No jeans, leggings, or sweatpants. Students are to wear comfortable dress shoes or gym shoes.
    Lunch
    Each prospective student receives a free lunch. May bring your own brown-bag lunch if you wish.
    Important Information
    Reservations are first come, first served and will be limited to 25-30 students per day. All student hosts are recruited from the Student Ambassador Leadership Team (SALT). If you have a friend currently enrolled at St. Francis High School and would like to have him or her serve as your host, please make the request to the Office of Enrollment after scheduling by calling (630) 668-5800 ext. 1120.
  • Campus Tours

    Daily, 9:00-10:00 a.m. or any convenient time
    Parents of prospective students are invited to a morning coffee and tour of St. Francis High School. Reservations are required.

  • Middle School Nights

     
     
    2019 Middle School Night Boys Volleyball
    You are invited to see the Spartans play volleyball v. Wheaton Academy.

    Free admission for grade school students with your pre-registration.
    The Varsity game is anticipated to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Spyglass Athletic Center. Come 30 minutes before game time to enter a raffle, win prizes and welcome team on to the court.

  • Open House

    Open Houses are the most comprehensive visit events we host all year. Meet our faculty, staff, and students; tour the building; experience our co-curricular fair. Open House is a series of experiences tailored to your interests.  The program begins promptly at the designated time in the Kuhn Cultural Arts Center.
    For 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders & Families

     St. Francis High School Open House takes place in October and November. Please check back in the spring to register for the 2019 Open Houses.
  • 8th Grade Day

    The Class of 2023 8th Grade Day took place August 7, 2018. Please check back in the spring to register for the Class of 2024 8th Grade Day in August, 2019.

    A showcase of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) opportunities for 7th and 8th grade students.
    Featuring interactive hands-on lab experiences, workshops, food, fun, and learning.
