Christine (Chris) Vallee '61 Lynch

Christine Josephine Lynch: 82 years old of Fontana, WI, passed away peacefully Friday September 26, 2025, at Archwood Senior Living, Paddock Lake, WI. She was born July 25, 1943, in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (neé Gillooley) Vallee, living in Chicago, Oak Park, IL, Elmhurst, IL, Elm Grove, WI, and Chesterfield, MO before settling in Fontana in 1993. Christine earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Loyola University. Before her retirement in 2008, Christine had worked as a Registered Nurse for many institutions including Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. She was a member of St. Benedict Church, Fontana, WI, and enjoyed her book club and keeping in touch with her high school friends. Christine was a great cook, had a great sense of humor, the best laugh, would drop everything to help others, made friends with everyone she talked to, and loved dogs and cats. On October 15, 1966, Christine married Edward Lynch at Sacred Heart Church, Lombard, IL and he preceded her in death on October 10, 2023.

Survivors include: three sons: Edward (Maria) Lynch of Silver Spring, MD, Daniel (Katie) Lynch of Glenview, IL, and Michael Lynch of Fontana, WI; seven grandchildren: Luisa, John, Emilie, Molly, Sean, Betsy, and Bridie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband Edward, Christine was preceded in death by five siblings: Mary Margaret, Vincent, Lenore, Joseph, and Norbert. 

A Celebration of Christine’s Life will be held at a later date (please watch website for updates). Arrangements were entrusted to the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH.
