If so, then people probably laugh at your jokes generally. Have you ever had an animal laugh at your humor? Probably not, but a new study conducted by anthropologist Sasha Winkler and professor of communication Greg Bryant has discovered that humans are not the only ones who have a sense of humor.
According to this new study, around 65 species of animals are capable of laughter, including apes, dogs, rats, and dolphins. The researchers classified laughter as "play noises" to help make the rough animal play less violent. The study also showed that, when tickled, rats exhibit high-pitched noises of pleasure.
Now that you know animals are also capable of laughter, you might try telling your pet or a friend's pet a joke. Who knows? You might be surprised by the result.
