You are already a member of the Mothers’ Club— everyone is. I encourage you to get involved in your student’s high school journey. Here is a quick rundown of current Mothers’ Club volunteer opportunities and how you can get involved:

Volunteer Opportunities

Are you looking for a way to get involved with St. Francis High School and meet new people?
Your volunteer commitment is a valued and necessary component of the high school experience for both you and your child. Your involvement in the Mothers’ Club will help to make the 2020 -2021 school year a success. There are many opportunities, big and small and your time and talent would be greatly appreciated!
Please consider one of the committees below and respond no later than 9/21/20. We will include YOU in the event planning and service opportunities for students and parents!

Ensuring Our Future Auction – Saturday, March 6, 2021

Description: THE major fundraiser of the year! Lend a hand to plan this year’s event. An information meeting will be scheduled in October. Stay tuned….
Festival of Fashion – TBA
Contact: Jill Blaha
Description: This is a great mother/daughter event. Join one of the many committees as a committee chairperson or member: decorations, programs, raffles, model coordinator, vendor sales, etc.
Spartan Wear – Various Dates Throughout the School Year
Contact: Kim Carroll
Description: Help sell Spartan wear at in person SFHS events and support our online store.
Fellowship: Various Dates Throughout the School Year
Contact: Stephanie Szewczyk
Description: Help to plan and coordinate social events for Spartan Moms.
Faith and Service: Various Dates throughout the School Year
Contact: Mary Oliphant
Description: Work with the SFHS Pastoral Ministry Team to host the Advent Mass and a Lenten Evening of Reflection and coordinate a maximum of two service opportunities.
Hospitality: Various Dates Throughout the School Year

Description: Plan, prepare and assist with food and beverages at school sponsored events.
New Family Mentor & Fellowship Program

Description: NEW FOR 2020-21! Current St. Francis families will be paired with first-year families to answer questions and to offer a welcoming experience to the Spartan community. Mentor families will be assigned 3-4 new families in their area to meet up or contact by phone prior to the start of the school and check in with them during their first few months at St. Francis High School.
Faculty and Staff Appreciation: Various Dates throughout the School Year

Description: Select a time when you can provide a monthly token of appreciation for our faculty and staff by donating food or sponsoring a meal.
Senior Celebration: April 2021
Committee Chair(s) Needed! Contact Lori McLoud at, if interested
Description: Senior parents plan, coordinate, decorate and chaperone this spectacular event in April. Parents of juniors are encouraged to get involved.
Uniform Resale: Various Dates Throughout the Summer and School Year
Contact: Lisa Mirabella-Orwig or Lori Rolston
Description: Collect and sell used school uniforms to raise scholarship funds for SFHS students.
Helping Hands: Throughout the School Year – As Needed

Description: You will receive an email request to “lend a hand, when you can.”
Parent Ambassadors: Various Dates Throughout the School Year
Contact: Maureen Isphording
Description: Promote St. Francis High School to prospective families at open house events, parent coffee events, and other events. Also help with phone calls before an open house, etc.
Dance Volunteers: Homecoming & Turnabout
Description: Volunteers will assist with check in, refreshments and parking lot supervision. This is NOT chaperoning.
Learning Resource Center (LRC) Volunteers: Throughout the School Year

Description: Volunteers during and after school to assist faculty and students.
