The St. Francis High School community would like to extend our condolences to the Lang family on the passing of Christopher Lang husband of Paula Vechart '72 Lang; father of Timarie '02, Audrey '07, Jarusha '10, Moses '11 and Joseph '19; brother of Patricia '73 Lang McKay, Timothy Lang '75, Jennifer Lang '78 Cottingham, Dr. Vincent Lang '79, Gabrielle Lang '81 Rogers.
On Monday, May 21, 2018 Christopher Lang, husband, father, brother, son and “Boompa” passed away at the age of 64. A native of Wheaton, IL Chris proudly served the United States Navy as a Corpsman, he entertained hundreds, and brought hope to all. From his birth, September 28, 1953 to his passing on Monday, he nourished people around him with love, faith, and music.

Chris will forever be remembered by his best friend and wife Paula, his children Timarie (Mark) Ryan, Audrey, Jarusha, Moses, and Joseph, and his two grandsons Declan and Emmett. He was a beloved brother to Dr. Mary (Bill) Carney, Dr. Andrea (Brian) Lawless, Patricia  '73 Lang (Bruce) McKay, Timothy (Nancy) Lang '75, Jennifer Lang '78 Cottingham, Dr. Vincent (Mary) Lang '79, Gabrielle Lang '81 (Dr. Frederick) Rogers, and Charles Jr. (Yukari) Lang; predeceased by his loving parents Dr. Charles and Mary Lang. Chris was greatly loved and cherished by all who knew him.

A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held Tuesday, May 29th from 4-8pm at Williams Kampp Funeral Home in Wheaton; with the rosary at 5pm. A Mass will be celebrated in memory of Chris Wednesday, May 30th, at 10am, at St. Michael’s Church in Wheaton. (Please Meet at Church) Funeral info www.williams-kampp.com or (630)668-0016

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made, in memory of Chris, to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
