Samuel Graunke '11

Samuel Henry Graunke, passed peacefully surrounded by his family and many friends after his battle with cancer on October 23, 2024. Left to cherish his memory are Samuel’s Parents, David and Marianne (nee Connor) Graunke; siblings Joshua (Renae) Graunke, Benjamin (Nica Cabigao) Graunke and Grace Dorothy (Joshua Ryan) San Diego; Niece Natalie Graunke and Nephew James Graunke; Grandparents Gerald E. (the late Grace F.) Graunke, and Kenneth J. and Dorothy M. Connor. Fond cousin and faithful friend to many. Sam was an avid golfer and Chicago Bears fan. He will live in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held Friday October 25, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd. Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. Funeral Mass to be held Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 114 S Elizabeth St, Lombard, IL 60148. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd. Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Edward Foundation Cancer Center.
