Michael Rogers '74

The St. Francis High School community would like to extend our condolences to the Rogers family on the passing of Michael Rogers '74, brother of Thomas Rogers '65 (deceased), Susan Rogers '66 Samonds, Shirley Rogers '66 Axelson, Diane Rogers '68 Andrews, and Lucinda Rogers '71 Marsala. 
Michael E. “Mike” Rogers was born May 9, 1956 In West Chicago, Illinois to Thomas and Bernice (Bierson) Rogers. Mike passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on July 22, 2012 at the age of 56. He graduated from St. Francis High School in Wheaten, IL in 1974 and attended St. Norbert’s College in DePere WI. Mike worked as an Independent computer consultant/programmer for many years and also worked for OSECO, Inc. as a programmer/data analyst for 8 years.

Mike was an avid horseracing enthusiast. He was everyone’s best friend and was admired by many as a kind and thoughtful man. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his parents and one brother Tom. Mike is survived by his daughter Alison Godi for whom he was the dad he didn’t have to be and the light of his life grandson Jeremiah. Sisters; Sue and husband Ned, Shirley and husband Dave, Dianne and husband Jack, Cindy and husband Joe, brother Ken and wife Julie, sister-in-law Margie and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel at 2:00p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012 with a reception following at Fair Meadows.
