Thomas Krueger '61
The St. Francis High School community would like to extend our condolences to the Krueger family on the passing of Thomas Krueger '61, brother of Mary Krueger '68 Bernard.
Thomas W. "Tom" Krueger, age 80, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, formerly of West Chicago, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at his home. He was born on March 11, 1943, in Geneva, IL.
Beloved husband of Rachel E. Krueger (nee Putala), whom he married on August 19, 1989, loving father of Todd (Eden) Caudell and Shane Caudell, both of Iron Mountain, MI, adored grandfather of Zachary, Riley and Owen Caudell, devoted son of the late Edwin and Helen Krueger, dear brother of Mary (John) Bernard of St. Charles, IL and Jack (Mary Ellen) Krueger of Naperville, brother-in-law of Roselyn Kent, Connie (Dan) Burke and Brian (Vickie) Putala, fond cousin, uncle, great-uncle, and friend of many. Tom will be dearly missed by his Schnauzer, Chauncy.
Tom grew up in West Chicago, IL, attended St. Mary's Grade School, St. Francis High School (Class of 1961, where he excelled in basketball and St. Procopius College in Lisle, IL (Class of 1965). Tom owned and operated Design Business Printing, Inc., Chicago for many years.
Tom was an avid golfer and longtime member of Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville. He was also a skilled poker player and competitive billiards player.
Services are being planned for a future date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tom's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
