Paul Milano

The St. Francis High School community would like to extend our condolences to the Milano Family on the passing of Paul Milano, father of Megan Milano '11, Alyssa Milano '12 Cronin, Kristin Milano '14.
Paul Francis (Miller) Milano, age 56, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family after a courageous eight and a half year battle with ALS. He was born at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL on July 16, 1966 to his loving parents, Fred and Rosa Miller. He was the cherished husband of Maureen "Moe" Milano. Paul and Moe had 26 wonderful years of marriage before he lost Moe to breast cancer in 2015. Paul is the beloved father of Megan, Aly (Jake) Cronin and Kristin Milano; dearest little brother of Valerie Chiapetta, Virginia (Jay) Shawron, Mary (Brian) Bakke, Judie (Pete) Muraglia; son-in-law of Carol and John Corrigan, brother-in-law of Kathy (Gary) Welch, Kevin (Carol) Corrigan; adored uncle of Jack and Matthew Corrigan, Katie (Harry) Andler, Nick (Jessica) Chiapetta, Krista (Phil) Engen, Gina (David) Buckles, Mary Shawron, Kyle Bakke, and Michael and Matthew Muraglia; great-uncle of Gianna and Sophie Engen; life-long friend turned caregiver and honorary brother, Mike Marcucci; devoted friend of Mia the Shorkie. Paul is grateful to the many care-givers who assisted him throughout the years. Paul attended Beebe Elementary and Jefferson Jr. High. He graduated from Naperville North High School in 1984. He participated in high school gymnastics where he excelled on the rings. Paul majored in communications at Northern Illinois University. He was a member of the Illinois Army National Guard. Paul and Moe founded PFM Packaging Sales in 1992. Paul lovingly poured his heart and soul into PFM and his passion for building connections with customers and employees alike made operating the company a joy. He was a member of the Joliet Cursillo Community. He was also an ambassador for the Les Turner ALS Foundation. Paul was a guest speaker at Jefferson and Kennedy Jr. High schools where he shared his experience of living with ALS with 8th grade students. In recognition for this work, Paul was the proud recipient of the Mission Maker Award from the NCUSD 203 superintendent. Paul will be remembered for his deep love for his wife and daughters, his cherished friendships, his gift for storytelling, his sense of humor, his generosity and his undeniably larger than life presence. Visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2022 from 3:00 until 8:00 pm at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 2220 Lisson Rd., Naperville, IL 60565. Interment will be private.
