A Trip to Disney!

On President’s Day Weekend, the SFHS Performing and Visual Arts department took an exciting trip to Disney! The students left immediately after school on Wednesday the 16th and returned to the humdrum of normal life 5 days after on the 22nd. Here is the complete rundown of their trip for anyone who wants to become even more jealous…
Day 1: The students went to Magic Kingdom on day 1! The art students participated in a Theme Design Workshop early that morning to discover the Imagineering secrets of the park. The Band marched in the parade down Main Street to a sea of supportive Spartans!

Day 2: Universal Studios for day 2! Everyone had a marvelous time riding the craziest coasters—The Hulk, Velocicoaster, and Rip Ride Rocket for the win—as well as getting soaked on Popeye’s Raging Rapids! The Music Ensemble rocked out later that night at the main stage on Universal Riverwalk.

Day 3: Hollywood Studios time! Although wait times for rides at this park were long, everyone stayed in high spirits as they anxiously waited for the Tower of Terror, Rockin’-Rollercoaster, and Rise of the Resistance. Oh, and can’t forget the blue milk from Star Wars land!

Day 4: To kickoff day 4, the choir students performed on the Disney Springs stage! After the spectacular performance, students either departed for Epcot to eat their way around the world or Universal Studios for another day of thrills.

Day 5: For the final day, all students trekked to Animal Kingdom to wait over 2 hours for the Avatar ride and to see some cool animals! After the last hurrah of the park, everyone returned to the buses and headed straight to the airport for the bittersweet return to St. Francis.
