Student-athlete Named Football Player of the Year.

St. Francis High School student-athlete Tommy Rittenhouse '21 has been named the 2021 Kane County Chronicle and Suburban Life Football Player of the Year. The honor comes off of an undefeated season for Tommy and the St. Francis High School football program, who earned the Metro Suburban Conference title.

This year's shortened season proved to be one of great achievement for Tommy. Among the long list of accomplishments, one which includes a career-best six touchdowns throws during the Spartans game against Riverside Brookfield on April 9, 2021, Tommy was one of nine SFHS seniors to receive the Scholarship Excellence Award. This award recognizes students who have received and accepted a full tuition scholarship or a scholarship of $35,000 or more per year. Tommy will advance to the next stage in his academic and football career by attending Illinois State University this fall.

St. Francis High School proudly congratulates Tommy on his tremendous honor. Read the 2021 Kane County Chronicle and Suburban Life Football Player of the Year article here.
