Mental Health Awareness Week is back, and it is even more important than years before. Over the past
Year, the nation has been faced with something that we were not physically or mentally prepared for. That’s why spreading awareness and taking a week to talk about our issues can be so crucial.
During the week of March 15th to March 19th, we had fun dress down days and calming activities. On Monday/Tuesday, students started their day off wearing a green top which supports metal health, and at lunch contributed to the collaborative rainbow poster in the cafeteria. On Wednesday or 'Spartan Day,’ we wore spirit and pride, and last but not least, on Thursday/Friday we brought back the grade school gear or a bright top to remind ourselves that there is a "light at the end of the tunnel." To go along with that, a fun Kahoot and trivia challenge at lunch were held. After school on March 15th and 16th, students did yoga with Merc and mandala making with Mrs. Rupp.

These activities helped to relieve student stressesa much needed break! Make sure to check your SFHS calendar for more events in the coming months!
