St. Francis High School presents “A Christmas Choral and Band Concert”

Krystal LaMantia
St. Francis High School carried on the longstanding tradition of delivering Christmas cheer to the local community through music. Four choirs and four bands came together for an evening of music and giving with over 130 students performing in the annual choral and band Christmas concert which benefitted Neighborhood Food Pantries.

Like the school’s recent theatre production of “A Christmas Carol,” the choral and band concert was available for audiences via livestream. Viewers enjoyed a variety of Christmas music with band performances of the traditional O Come, All Ye Faithful, Jingle Bells, and the ever popular All I Want for Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey. While the choirs sang multiple Christmas classics like, Do You Hear What I Hear, O Holy Night, Mary, Did You Know, and many more.

“At St. Francis we have been doing the best we can to provide students a safe outlet to perform during the 2020-2021 school year." says Bob Mamminga, Performing and Visual Arts Department Chair. "We want to invite everyone to experience a little joy and peace this holiday season through the gift of music.”
