Kathryn Nevis '84
The St. Francis High School community would like to extend our condolences to the Nevis family on the passing of Kathryn Nevis '84, sister of Liz Nevis, Billy Nevis '82, Patrick Nevis '85, Danny Nevis '87, and Jenny Nevis '89.
Kathryn Nevis, born April 16th, 1966, beloved daughter of Ben and Marian Nevis, passed into eternal life Friday June 8th, 2018. Katy is survived by her five siblings Liz (David), Billy, Patrick (Monika), Danny (Mary), Jenny and her nieces and nephew Nicole, Alyssa, Madeline, Jake, Winnie, Vivian and Amelia.
Katy was born in Bethlehem, PA and moved with the family to Glen Ellyn, IL in 1976. Katy graduated St. James the Apostle grade school in Glen Ellyn, St. Francis of Assisi High School in Wheaton, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Civil Engineering and earned Professional Engineer certificate. Katy worked on many transportation projects in and around Chicago between 1987 and 2016. She enjoyed cooking, playing piano, jogging, painting, cuddling with her cats, and adventurous camping trips with friend. Family and friends shared many happy moments with Katy, especially at the Wisconsin lake house enjoying the waves, sand, sunshine and evenings around the bonfire. We will remember her always until we meet again in the life to come.
