Dom B. '24 Earns Perfect ACT Score

Jamie Lavigueur
Congratulations to Dom B. ’24 – who earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT this year.  Dom said his goal was just to do his best and allow his score to reflect his effort.

Earning a perfect ACT score is rare: Nearly 1.35 million test-takers took the ACT in 2022, and of those, only 3,376 received a 36 (0.2%).
“I just wanted to feel like I had given it my all and answered every question with confidence,” he said. “I made sure to stay sharp on all of my overall skills and that definitely helped me perform on the exam.”

He said his classes at SFHS helped him prepare for the exam material but also taught him the skills of time management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking. Dom also took a practice exam to familiarize himself with the material and format.

As he prepares to graduate this spring, Dom reflected on his time at SFHS and said being a part of the community and interacting with people he wouldn’t have otherwise known was the most impactful part.

“I met some lifelong friends here and getting to hang out with them every day has definitely been my favorite part,” he said.

After graduation, he plans to attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and pursue a degree in finance. After that, he plans to get his MBA and pursue a career in business management.

“Eventually, I hope to be the CEO of a corporation in the Chicago area and continue to work to build the best life that I can for my family,” he said.

Congratulations Dom – we are #SpartanProud!
