  • Spartans battle till end; Doyle closes out career with 16 point effort

    The Spartans played the Broncos even in the 2nd Half but couldn't overcome the 13-point halftime deficit. - despite Natalie Doyle's 16-point effort. Proud of this group of 5 seniors - Lynsey Cleveland, Natalie Doyle, Molly Quinn, Dolly Smith, and Stephanie Sullivan. They have set the tone for the underclassmen to follow.
  • Smith and Doyle lead Spartans comeback for Regional crown!

    Dolly Smith and Natalie Doyle led the Spartans comeback over Westinghouse to win the Regional Championship. Dolly scored 16 while Natalie scored 12 as the Spartans fought back from a 12-3 first quarter deficit - outscoring Westinghouse 40-21 over the final three quarters.
  • Spartans fall to Ignatius in rematch despite 3 Spartan in double figures - led by Austin's 18 and Smith's 16

    Riley Austin led the Spartans with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 deflections/steals. Dolly Smith added 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 deflections/steals. Téa Rubino was also in double figures with 11 while Natalie Doyle added 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 deflections/steals. The Spartans hit 10 3's but fell in the rematch with Ignatius.

    Your Spartans fell to Glenbard West in another non-conference game against a tough opponent. Spartans were led in scoring by Riley Austin (14), Natalie Doyle (9), and Téa Rubino (7). Next up for the Spartans - a rematch vs. Fenwick on Monday in the opening round of the GCAC tournament.
  • Dolly Smith leads Spartans with 14

    Senior Dolly Smith scored 14 as the Spartans fought back from a double-digit halftime deficit only to fall by 3. Seniors Lynsey Cleveland and Natalie Doyle added 9 and 7 respectively. Senior Steph Sullivan played outstanding defense - holding Glenbard South's Brooklyn Moore to just 1 2nd Half point after she poured in 14 in the 1st Half. Senior Molly Quinn also drew the start on Senior Night. Thanks to these 5 wonderful young ladies - as well as Halle Rubino - for their contributions to this program and this school - both on the court and off!
  • Riley Austin drops 21 in conference clinching win!

    Riley Austin drops 21 - including 9-9 from the FT line - in the Spartans' conference clinching win! Dolly Smith was also in double figures with 12, while Arianna Naples and Téa Rubino chipped in with 8 and 6 respectively. Spartans shot 16-16 from the FT line to help clinch the GCAC White Division. Spartans have now won conference back-to-back-to-back!

    Natalie Doyle poured in 24 points to lead the Spartans to a 5-0 record in the GCAC White Division. The Spartans shot 13-16 from the FT line.
  • Naples, Powell, and Quaranta all in double figures; Spartans hit 12 3-pointers

    Arianna Naples, Ashley Powell, and Mia Quaranta were all in double figures - with 12 points each - as the Spartans hit 12 3-pointers as they cruised to victory over Glenbard North at the Batavia MLK Showdown. The Spartans' 3-point barrage was led by Mia (3), Arianna (2), Ashley (2), and Lynsey Cleveland (2). Riley Austin, Natalie Doyle, and Molly Quinn also knocked down a 3-pointer.

    Téa Rubino led the Spartans with 17 points - including three 3's and 8-8 from the FT line. Riley Austin was also in double figures with 10 while Arianna Naples just missed double figures with 9. Spartans snap 4 game win streak but will look to start a new one on Monday vs. Glenbard North at the Batavia MLK Showdown.

    Natalie Doyle had a solid all-around game to lead the Spartans - including 12 points. Also in double figures were Riley Austin and Téa Rubino with 13 apiece. Rounding out the scoring was Lynsey Cleveland with 5, Arianna Naples with 4, Steph Sullivan with 2, and Dolly Smith with 1. Natalie had a triple-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 deflections/steals! Meanwhile, Lynsey had 3rd straight game with double digits rebounds - and 42 over last 4 games! Dolly has 21 assists over last 4 games. Your Spartans remain undefeated in conference - and undefeated in the new year. Next up - Marian Catholic on Saturday and Glenbard North on Monday at the Batavia MLK Showdown.

    Dolly Smith and Riley Austin led the Spartans with 14 and 13 points respectively - including three 3-pointers from Dolly and two from Riley. Balanced scoring included 7 from birthday girl Natalie Doyle, 6 from Téa Rubino, and 5 each from Lynsey Cleveland and Arianna Naples. Lynsey all-around game also included 12 rebounds and 7 steals/deflections. Spartans move to 3-0 in the new year and face off against Rosary on Thursday night.

Lynsey also had double-digit rebounds with 11, while Dolly had 7 assists for the 2nd straight game. Spartans move to 2-0 in new year.

    Lynsey Cleveland scored 17 including four 3-pointers while Téa Rubino added 18 including two 3-pointers - as the Spartans start the new year out with a win over a solid Sycamore team. The scoring was rounded out by Riley Austin with 10, Natalie Doyle with 7, Steph Sullivan with 3, and Dolly Smith with 2.

    Lynsey and Natalie also had 8 rebounds each while Dolly dished out 7 assists!

    Téa Rubino earns Player of the Game honors at Montini - leading the Spartans in scoring with 15 points - including 7-8 from the FT line. Riley Austin was right behind with 14 - including two 3-pointers. Arianna Naples came off the bench to chip in 8 points including two 3-pointers of her own.

    Riley Austin poured in 18 points as the Spartans used a decisive 17-5 3rd Quarter and then hung on to pull out the non-conference win. Téa Rubino chipped in with 11 as the Spartans move to 8-3 before a big test vs. Montini.

    Téa R. led the Spartans with 20 points including two 3-pointers and 6-7 from the FT line, as the Spartans came back after trailing throughout the first three quarters. Riley A. added 11, while Dolly S., Natalie D. and Arianna N. rounded out the scoring with 7, 5, and 3 points respectively. Stephanie S. made several great assists in the decisive 4th quarter.

    Riley A. led the Spartans with 16 points. Téa R, Dolly S., and Steph S. added 7 apiece while Lynsey C. and Arianna N. chipped in with 5 each in the balanced scoring effort. Fantastic experience for both schools and their families at the historic Hoosiers Gym in Knightstown, IN.

    Riley A. and Téa R. led the Spartans with 22 and 15 points respectively, as the Spartans overcame a 6-point halftime deficit - outscoring the Chargers 35-18 in the 2nd half. Lynsey C. and Dolly S. added 8 apiece while Natalie D. and Arianna N. chipped in with 6 and 5 respectively. As a team, the Spartans went 14-16 from the FT line. The Spartans move to 4-1 and 1-0 in conference.

    Riley A. led the Spartans with 22 as Spartans move to 2-0 in conference. Balanced scoring effort included 7 from Téa R., 6 apiece from Dolly S. and Arianna N., 5 from Natalie D., and 4 from Lynsey C. Natalie D. had a great all-around game with 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.

    Riley Austin poured in 28 points to lead the Spartans to a 3rd Place finish at the Brenda Whitesell Thanksgiving Tournament in Hinsdale. Téa Rubino added 12 points in the balanced scoring effort that saw 10 players score.
  • Austin leads Spartans with 21 behind 5-6 from 3-point land

    Riley Austin led the Spartans with 21 - including 5 of 6 shooting on 3-pointers. Natalie Doyle and 
    Téa Rubino were also in double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively. However, it was truly a team effort as the Spartans assisted on 20 of 24 FGs. Dolly Smith had a solid all-around game with 6 assists, 5 deflections, and 3 steals.
  • Cleveland scores 15 off bench to lead Spartans to victory over Ignatius

    Lynsey Cleveland scored 15 points off the bench to lead the Spartans to victory over Saint Ignatius. Riley Austin added 16 and Téa Rubino 14. On the defensive end, Dolly Smith and Natalie Doyle kept the Wolfpack's top two scorers in check - holding them both under double digits.
