St. Francis High School Receives Microsoft “Top Community Influencer” Award

St. Francis High School was recently honored with the Microsoft Showcase School Top Community Influencer Award.

 

 

Through a host of Digital Classroom events and Professional Development courses, St. Francis High School has welcomed educators interested in exploring Microsoft’s 1:1 technology curriculum to observe the benefits of a digital transformation.

 

“Our Microsoft solution including Office 365, OneNote and Teams has not only better prepared our students for college and careers, but it has also allowed us to seamlessly transition to e-Learning in a manner of days without skipping a beat. In addition, we have formed an innovative partnership with the local Microsoft Store in Oak Brook and its team…co-hosting of events like Technology Open Houses, Startup Day competitions, and various camps.” says Jeff Gerdeman, Director of IT at St. Francis High School “We feel fortunate to have been named a Microsoft Showcase School for three years running and look forward to continuing our efforts to provide our constituents with the necessary tools to enhance learning.”

 

“Microsoft has really changed our teachers’ classroom experience.” says Colleen Kaplan, Technology Integration Specialist at St. Francis High School “The most important thing we can do to help spread knowledge and awareness of Microsoft tools in education is to open our doors to other educators and administrators. When a person sees these tools in action, they see the power these tools have to transform the classroom.”

 

St. Francis High School just completed its fifth year of mobile learning and is currently one of 41 U.S. Microsoft Showcase Schools in the country.
