|Final Semester Exams|
Final semester exams are given in all courses. It is the expectation that all students take final exams during their scheduled Final Exam week.
Appeals must be made to Assistant Principal 3 weeks prior to exams. Exams are seen as a review and integration of material covered in the course.
Teachers provide a written exam review sheet at least one week prior to the examination for students in the following courses: junior (non-honors level courses), sophomore and freshman. Written exam review sheets are optional for students taking junior honors level courses and all senior courses.
During the second semester, only seniors with an A average in both third and fourth quarter may be exempt from exams. This is at the discretion of the individual departments. All other students must take a final semester exam.
Students in an Advanced Placement preparation course who take the Advanced Placement test may take the final semester exam prior to the Advanced Placement test. This is a privilege left to the discretion of the individual teacher.
If a second semester course is predominately seniors, then underclassmen are allowed to take the final semester exam during senior exam week, however, all non-seniors must be in attendance during their regularly scheduled exam times.
