Father's Club Service Project at Northern Illinois Food Bank
Need Service Hours? Please join us on Tuesday, March 22nd from 6-8:30PM at the Northern Illinois Food Bank for our first serve of 2016. A core value we have at St. Francis is to live out the gospel and serve those that are the "least of these" as Jesus calls us to do. The NIFB serves over 70,000 people each week and over 590,000 people per year! In Northern Illinois, 1 out of 5 children face hunger and need assistance. NIFB has a major need to fill volunteer slots and we are committing to provide 50 volunteers. Hope to see you there!

Spain Trip 2017
From June 12th to June 20th of 2017, a group of St. Francis students and faculty will be taking the trip of a lifetime to Spain. This structured program includes sightseeing trips, excursions, walking tours and many exciting local activities. A full-time, specially selected tour manager for ACIS ( will accompany us on all of our educational excursions and assist us in making the most of our free time. Some of the trip highlights are hands-on workshops involving the cultural aspects of food, dance, art, history and pastimes in Spain as well as getting to know the cities of Granada, Córdoba, Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, and Segovia.  Please join us in an informational meeting Thursday, March 10th at 6:30 p.m. in the Spartan Theater OR Friday, March 11th at 7:00 a.m. in Room 2307. Interested students are required to bring a parent. It is highly recommended that the students interested in the trip have two years of Spanish classes at St. Francis. Daddy Daughter Dance

The 2016 Daddy Daughter Dance is to be held on Saturday, March 12 from 7:30-9:30pm in the Slant Dome.

March Coffees with the Counselors for Sophomore and Junior Parents
A Coffee with the Counselors for Sophomore Parents will be held on Tuesday, March 8, at 9 AM in the Rosmonowski Room. Please enter door # 4. Sophomore counselors, Mrs. Angelika Rupp and Ms. Jillian Pettenuzzo, will speak with parents on the challenges and tasks facing sophomore students and how to help your child progress during this important year of high school. Topics will include Achieving Academic Success, Dealing with Peer Pressure, Helping Your Child be a Responsbile Digital Citizen, Exploring Career Choices using Naviance, Planning for Junior and Senior Year, Taking Advantage of Summer Opportunities and time for question and answers.  Please RSVP for this event by contacting Mrs. Angelika Rupp at or call ext. 1104.

Attention Sophomore Parents:
A reminder that March 15 is the registration deadline if your son/daughter wants a specific time and campus in our summer course, "Intensive English and Math: Preparing for the College Boards." After March 15, we open the course to students at other schools. Until the course begins in June, you may still enroll your son/daughter, but may find that some times on both campuses are closed. If you have any questions, feel free to call Mr. Kolodziej, the class coordinator, at 708-651-4356.

Hats For Hope
Hats For Hope will be collecting NEW socks and NEW OR GENTLY USED hats, gloves, and scarves. These items will be donated to local PADS shelters to be given to the homeless. The collection will run from February 29 until March 11. Please consider donating to help those who live in the cold this winter by putting your donations in the box in the atrium.
