Chair people are still needed for several committees for Senior Celebration.  We want our Seniors to have a night to remember! We need 100% of senior families to help out in some capacity. Please consider donating your time for this exciting Senior event.  If you are able to chair a committee, please contact Jill Bolin at
If you have not already signed up to volunteer on April 12th at the event, please sign up here: Senior Celebration Volunteer

Naperville North High School Presents Chris Herren

The St. Francis High School community is invited to Naperville North on February 18 at 7:00 pm to listen to Chris Herren speak about his journey through the NBA and the devastating effects drugs have had on his life. Note from the Principal

Congratulations to our Dance Team for placing 4th at the IHSA Dance State Competition this past weekend! The Dance Team is coached by Nichole Johnson.

Due to the recent school closures, the following days will be full days rather than early dismissals:

  • Thursday, February 20
  • Thursday, March 20

If St. Francis High School needs to close school for additional full days, then Monday, April 21 (Easter Monday) will be a regular attendance day.

Thank you for your continued support!

Catholic School's Week
Supply Drive Continues

Spartan Olympics 2014 was a success!  The afternoon assembly was held on Friday, January 31st.  The Seniors came in first followed by the Freshman in second and Faculty in third place.  The Sophomore and Junior classes were tied in the fourth spot.  Overall, the assembly was very spirited!!  Due to the shortened week, the Supply Drive for diapers and baby wipes is being extended.  Please continue to bring in those baby items (diapers & wipes) to show St. Francis' commitment to support all life from  conception to natural death.  Thank you for your support!

Blood Drive
February 25, 2014

Our annual All-school Blood Drive will be Tuesday, February 25. Giving blood is a contribution to the entire community; it's the right thing to do!  At this time of year, donations are typically down due to the cold and flu season. Therefore, we are asking parents and friends of St. Francis High School to please consider donating. Your donation could save a life. Contact Mike Lynch or 630-668-5800 ext.1193 if you wish to schedule an appointment; drop-ins welcome too.

Parents, please consider encouraging your child to donate.

A few facts:

  • 1 unit of blood can help 3 people
  • Only 5% of eligible people donate
  • Every 3 seconds someone needs blood

If your child will be donating they need to:

  • Be 16 years or older.
  • Have a permission slip signed in black ink by a parent.
  • Weigh at least 110 pounds.
  • Eat a big breakfast the morning of the drive.
  • Bring a photo ID.
  • Sign up with Mr. Lynch in Room 1107.

Please contact me at if you have any questions or click here for a link to the Heartland Blood Bank center.

Host Family Opportunity: Open your home and your heart!

The St. Francis High School is once again looking for families interested in hosting an international student in their home for a 10 month home stay beginning in August of the upcoming 2014 -2015 school year. This is a great opportunity for your family to connect with hardworking students and to help them achieve their dreams of a top tier education here at St. Francis High School.

Host families are expected to provide a warm, secure and healthy home environment as well as a bedroom for the student. Host families should be enthusiastic about cultural diversity, willing to welcome international guests with an open mind and support their student in academic and co-curricular activities. Host families may be eligible to receive up to a $1,000/month stipend to help cover the costs of room and board.

If you would like to take advantage of this unique opportunity, please contact Matt Abernathy, Director of the International Student Program, at
