December 9th Executive Functioning Workshop for Families
Are you or your child frustrated because he/she is struggling with homework, tests and long term projects? The hidden culprit is often executive functioning skills. If this has been your experience, you and your child may want to attend a workshop at Vine Academy in Hinsdale on Tuesday, December 9 from 6:00 -8:00 PM! Led by Nurturing Wisdom Tutoring Vice President and Vine Academy Director Amanda Vogel, this workshop is ideal for parents and students in grades 6-12. The cost of the workshop is $50 per student. Workshop participants will learn how to build homework routines, organize school materials, take notes that make studying easier, and manage time more effectively. Space is limited!
Parents of students
who took the PSAT
An information program on results of the PSAT test will take place on Wednesday, December 10, at 6:30 PM in the Kuhn Cultural Arts Center.  Parents of students who took the PSAT test may obtain the test results at this program. Mrs. Rigney will interpret the PSAT scores and provide information on ACT/SAT testing, the test registration process, and test prep. Students will also receive a copy of test results on Thursday, December 11.
FREE practice test for the new SAT
C2Education has opened a new tutoring and test prep center in Wheaton.  As part of their opening, they are offering a FREE practice test for the new SAT, which will be introduced for the Class of 2017.  The practice tests will be held on December 6, 13 and 20th. Sophomore students who are interested in taking a practice test for the new SAT (which will also help them prepare for next fall's new PSAT) can register by contacting or call Jaime at 309-642-4774.
Recycle your old Christmas Lights
Student, Zeke Myers is organizing an effort to recycle Christmas lights for charity. Place your unwanted, unused, and broken Christmas lights in the box in the atrium through January 9th.
