Please use caution when driving on campus the speed limit is 10MPH, most accidents can be avoided if we slow down.

The Handicap parking spots are only for vehicles with a handicap placard, your vehicle may be ticketed if you park or pull into a Handicap spot.

It is against Illinois law for anyone to operate a hand held device in a school zone.

If your child has a parking spot on campus, please place the sticker in the rear window.

If your child parks at Target, please remind them to cross with the police or at the corner light.

If your child parks at Target and has an after school activity, please remind them to cross with the police or at the corner light and drive their vehicle to St. Francis and park on campus.

All parking lot accidents should be reported to the Wheaton Police and the Dean of Students, Ken Burke.
Outta Uniform
Friday, August 28 is our first Outta Uniform day of the 2015-16 school year. Many parents and students ask why we have "Outta Uniform" days and what do we do with the money. Outta Uniform allows us to fund student groups and activities and to supplement school projects and/or causes, as well as, relevant community and social service projects. In the last years, Outta Uniform has contributed almost $40,000 to the renovation of the Spartan Theater and the air conditioning of the East Wing. Outta Uniform also takes the place of any other student fundraisers, such as candy sales. Students and staff are encouraged to propose projects for funding. These proposals are reviewed by the Outta Uniform Student Board and either accepted or not based on their merit and contribution to the overall school community.

The cost for students choosing to participate is $3 for each of the 10 Outta Uniform days. However, in an effort to make life easier, the Outta Uniform Student Board is offering students the opportunity to pay for Outta Uniform for the entire year; $30 for freshmen, sophomores and juniors and $27 for seniors. Make checks payable to SFHS and save yourself and your student the hassle of remembering Outta Uniform money for the rest of the year.

Short Term Freshman Success Group
Sign Up Deadline is this FRIDAY 8/29!
Only a few spots still open!
As in previous years, the short term Freshman Success Group will be offered during the first semester. Starting at a new school can be a difficult time in a young person's life. The excitement of "starting new" is mixed with the sadness of leaving familiar territory. Students may be wondering: "What will it be like? Will I be accepted? Will I be successful? What study skills & test taking skills do I need". Fears of change can be overwhelming for some young people. However, with encouragement, this transition can be a positive new start.
For all of the above reasons, the Guidance & Counseling Department will again offer the optional six-week group for freshman. This group will meet once a week during rotating class periods. The group, run by counselors Mrs. Rupp and Ms. Sullivan, will offer freshmen the opportunity to meet new people, to learn more about St. Francis and ask questions in a small, non-threatening environment. The second component to the freshman group will be to help students work on study skills and test taking techniques.
Group size is limited and registration is required.
Contact Info: If you would like more information on this group or on any of the other support groups available at St. Francis, contact Mrs. Rupp at ext 1104 or email at
