This is an opportunity for the seniors and the faculty to share an evening of food and memories, as faculty members (and the senior class president) share their memories of the class of 2015. The doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. The evening will conclude at about 9:00 p.m. Seniors should return their rsvp form with a $45 check payable to St. Francis to Ms. Pratscher by May 6. Fathers' Club Memorial Mass

All students and their families are invited to join the St. Francis Fathers' Club for the first annual Memorial Mass. This year the mass is in honor of Thomas Syron, father of Tammy Syron '17. The mass will be held this Saturday, 4/25/15 in the Slant dome at 4pm. Enter through Door #4 (Main Office). Please join us and show your support for our St. Francis family.

Father's Club Service Project at Northern Illinois Food Bank

Please join us on Tuesday, April 28th from 6-8:30PM at the Northern Illinois Food Bank for our final serve of the year. A core value we have at St. Francis is to live out the gospel and serve those that are the "least of these" as Jesus calls us to do. The NIFB serves over 70,000 people each week and over 590,000 people per year! In Northern Illinois, 1 out of 5 children face hunger and need assistance. NIFB has a major need to fill volunteer slots on Tuesday nights and we are committing to fill the slot for 50 volunteers. Hope to see you there!

To sign up, contact Mark Petersen at

Still Needed
Help Still Needed: A handful of male international students currently attending St. Francis High School are still in need of a home for next school year. These are bright, hardworking, and polite kids. If your family is interested in changing a student's life by hosting for a 10 month stay and receiving a generous stipend of $1,000 a month please contact Matt Abernathy -
Free PSAT Practice Test

The Fall 2015 PSAT Test test will mirror the new, redesigned SAT test, which will start in March of 2016. Rising juniors in the Class of 2017 are strongly advised to become familiar with the new PSAT and SAT-especially those striving for National Merit Scholarship recognition and admission to highly selective colleges. Kaplan is offering a free PSAT practice test on Saturday, May 9, from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM, at the College of DuPage, Elmhurst College, North Central College, or online. To register, go to:

Practice Tests Available
Nurturing Wisdom in Hinsdale will provide weekly practice tests for the PSAT, SAT and ACT during May and June at 8:45 AM on Sundays. The cost is $35 and includes a detailed item analysis and customized tutoring plan. In June they will have a practice test for the redesigned SAT.
Senior Parents!

Senior Parents: Please do not throw out your senior student's scholarship award information!  On Monday, April 27, Mrs. Rigney and Mr. Lindley will ask all seniors to complete a survey listing details of their scholarship awards for all colleges, even if the student is not accepting the award.  The survey will ask for the following: Name of the Scholarship, Organization or College offering the award, the dollar amount of the scholarship, and if the scholarship is renewable or a one- time award.  On 4/27 the student should bring their scholarship award letters to school or bring a complete list of all scholarship awards so their survey will be accurate.

Benefit for Andrew Valadka

Clara's Restaurant in Woodridge (6550 S. Route 53) is hosting a benefit for Andrew Valadka on Wednesday, April 29th from 4:30-7:30 pm.

Andrew was severely injured in the football game at Benet Academy this past fall. He is continuing to recover day by day and will continue with his rigorous therapy. Andrew is a 2011 graduate of St. Michael school where he attended with many SFHS students. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
