The St. Francis High School Community would like to extend our condolences to the Pierce Family on the passing of Eddy Wayne Pierce, father of Jesse Pierce, former teacher and activities coordinator for St. Francis High School.
Eddy Wayne Pierce “Bubba”, of Crown Point/Cedar Lake, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 19, 2015 surrounded by his family.
Eddy is survived by his loving wife, Amy (nee Kosich) of 40 years; 2 sons: Jesse (Lauren) Pierce of Texas and Justin Pierce of Schererville; daughter, Jamie (Dan) Fahrner of Indianapolis; 4 adorable grandsons (Papa’s Buddies): Jackson & Tyler Pierce and Calvin & Royal Fahrner; brother, Danny (Tracey) Pierce; sister, Teresa (Rich) Bernal; mother-in-law, Ellen Kosich; 2 brothers-in-law: Mike (Barb) Kosich and John (Kris) Kosich; sister-in-law, Karen (Jack) Callahan; countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Eddy was preceded in death by his parents: Jim & June Pierce; father-in-law, Emil Kosich.
Eddy was a longtime salesman with Pierce Builders and currently the proud owner/operator of Bubba-Q-Barbeque. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, and FOOTBALL, especially The Chicago Bears. He was a devoted husband, dad, papa and UNC. Eddy was happiest spending time with family and friends, most of all his grandsons. Second only to the joy of being with all of them, Eddy loved “COOKIN’-IT-UP” at parties, events and festivals. Always with a smile on his face and his outgoing personality, he never met a stranger, each one became his friend.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave./South St., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 2:00 PM until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 PM. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
