On Thursday, February 26, St. Francis High School, together with Life Source, hosted an all-school blood drive.  This year’s drive was very successful, with 121 units of blood collected, the most ever at St. Francis High School.

Some students commented that they were donating in memory of someone, because it was cool to think someone else could use their blood, and because it was a good thing to do.  Others admitted that they were still donating despite their fear of needles.  Most impactful, however, was a visit from St. Francis High School’s athletic trainer, Michelle Kramer and her daughter.  Kramer’s daughter was a recipient of 40 units of blood in the hospital as an infant, and is living proof of how important it is to donate.
