Kelsey Robinson '10 and Team USA made history Sunday beating China and winning the first world championship gold medal for the U.S. Women's program at the FIVB World Championship held in Italy. The US Women had never before won gold at any of the three major international volleyball events, including the Olympics. Kelsey was one of the youngest players named to the 14 player roster. USA posted an 11-2 record over the three week long tournament. Kelsey played in 8 of those matches, earning starts in 4 matches. After the win against Serbia, Kelsey was awarded "Most Impressive Player" of the match. Next up, Kelsey leaves for Beijing China where she will play professionally for Baic Motor Volleyball Club.
