Condolences to the Kimball/Dreisilker Families

The St. Francis High School Community would like to extend our condolences to the Kimball/Dreisilker families on the passing of Gus P. Kimball on September 5, 2014. 


WEST CHICAGO - Gus P. Kimball, 93, a longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away September 5, 2014. He was born March 7, 1921 in Springfield, IL. He served in the US Army during WWII. He worked for Western Electric for 42 years and Murphy's Ace Hardware in West Chicago for 31 years. He was the athletic director for St. Mary's School in West Chicago for 45 years. He is survived by his children, John '63 (Sue), Marty '68, Gus '70 (Tanya), Scott '76 (Rachel), Kathy '79 (Mike '79) Dreisilker, Karen '82 (fiance David Pallardy), and David '84 (Gigi); his thirteen grandchildren, Josh and Jay Kimball, Annie (Shayne) Olaiya, Matt, Scotty, Chase, and Jake Kimball, Jill '06 and Mary Kay '08 Dreisilker, Kathy and John Willeford, and Alex and Andrew '13 Kimball; a great-granddaughter Omolola Olaiya; a brother John (the late Dorothy); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Ardis and his son Steve '66. Visitation Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Williams-Woodward Funeral Home, 820 Pine St. (corner of Route 59 and Pine), West Chicago.
