Note from the Principal
The 13th annual Toyota-USA Hockey Disabled Hockey Festival took place April 6-9, 2017, in San Jose, California and featured 63 teams and 780 players. The largest disabled event of its kind, the festival continues to grow and this year's event encompassed divisions for four disabled hockey disciplines: blind hockey, sled hockey, special hockey and warrior/standing hockey. Congratulations to Zach Zera '19 and his team, Hornets Youth Sled Hockey Team, on making it to the championship game and placing 2nd!

Congratulations to Nicholas Brouch, '17, on achieving the level of Eagle Scout. Nick is a member of Troop 555 in Naperville. His Eagle project was to develop a trail in a underdeveloped portion of Seager Park located in Naperville.  As part of this project, Nick managed a team that cleared over 100 yards of dense invasive species and laid a mulch trail so that park patrons could experience a very pretty portion of the park near a marsh.  Nick and team also made two large bat houses to encourage bat colonization and thus naturally control the mosquito population.

After qualifying for regionals, Bridget Killian'18 competed at the Region 5 (Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky) Women's Level 10 Regional Championships this past Friday, April 7 in Indiana. In her age group, Senior D, Bridget placed 2nd in the All Around. She also medaled 3rd on Vault, 5th on Bars, and 2nd on Beam. Bridget has now qualified for the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships for Level 10 to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 5-7. Congratulations Bridget!

I pray that with your family and friends, you enjoy the new life that Easter brings.
