Former Cast & Crew of "Guys & Dolls" are invited to attend the February 25th production of Guys and Dolls here at St. Francis High School. To help celebrate 50 years of education at St. Francis alumni cast and crew are invited to reserved seating and participation in the encore.
ALL alumni who attend the Saturday evening production are invited to the reception following the show.
Anyone with a relationship to St. Francis High School would know that we have had a rich tradition of fine musical productions over the years. If we walk down memory lane we find it all began with a dream of Sr. Mary Regina’s. She had hoped, since the opening of St. Francis, that the students might one day have the interest and talent to produce a fantastic spring musical. In 1964 the boys and girls glee clubs attracted so many students that Sr. Mary’s dream was realized with our very first musical -Brigadoon.
Over the years, many wonderful musicals have graced the stages of the Slant Dome and now the Kuhn Cultural Arts Center. But, one show has been repeated more than any other, “Guys and Dolls.” As far as we can tell, this will be the fifth production of Guys and Dolls here at St. Francis. The first was in 1978 and then 1992, 1998, and now this year, the spring of 2006. There was one other special alumni production of the show, which celebrated the dedication of the Kuhn Cultural Arts Center in 2001.
To accommodate our alumni cast members, we have reserved a block of seats for alumni former cast & crew members and guests. We will hold the seats until February 10th. If you are interested please call John Grossman, Alumni Director, at 630-668-5800 ext. 138 to reserve your seat(s) for this very special occasion. Your reserved ticket(s) will be kept at our special alumni will call table on the night of the show.
